Organic Chemistry
This online course is intended for undergraduate students in their 1st or 2nd year of college who aspire to become medical professionals and who are planning to soon take Organic Chemistry as part of their pre-med program.
Organic Chemistry (Orgo) is a foundational course that plays a crucial role for students pursuing careers in healthcare, including:
Pre-Med

Often considered a "weed-out" class, Orgo is essential not only for building a deep understanding of chemical principles but also for preparing students for advanced coursework in these fields.The knowledge and skills gained in this course are directly applicable to future careers in medicine and related professions. Additionally, success in Organic Chemistry can have a significant impact on a student’s GPA,which is an important factor in applications to medical, dental, and optometry schools.
Our Preview to Organic Chemistry class offers students a solid head start for the rigorous course ahead. In this course, we will not teach every concept covered in your specific organic chemistry class, but it will certainly provide a strong foundation for logical organic chemistry thinking skills.This introductory course provides the tools necessary for students to master the material and excel in their academic journey, helping to lay the groundwork for a successful healthcare career.
This is a 6-week course.
Classes meet twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This course offers 3 hours of instruction per week, plus an office hour on Sundays.
Course Schedule:
Tuesdays 6:30 – 8:30pm & Thursdays 6:30pm—7:30pm &
Sundays: Office Hour from 5pm – 6pm
Course Duration: Tuesday, June 17th—Thursday, July 24th
